Further Sleepover Functionality Improvements
We have made two further improvements to our sleepover shift functionality, building on these recent updates:
- New Award Rule Functionality: Worked While On Sleepover
- New Allowance Types for On-Call and Sleepover Shifts
Specifically, we have added an
After hours worked during sleepover
field to the Worked While On Sleepover
award rule. This field stipulates that your award rule will only apply after X hours worked. For instance, if an employee works a sleepover shift from 12-4am and you enter 1 in this field, they will be paid at the stipulated rate from 1am onwards.
You can configure this by navigating to
Time & Attendance > Compliance
and either editing your current rule or creating a new one. Similarly, we have cleaned up how certain
minimum length
award rules interact with the Worked While On Sleepover rule
, leading to a clearer hierarchy of which rules should apply when and reducing contradictory rule clashes. The outcome is that to ensure all appropriate rules and automations apply,
we strongly advise you to roster separate shifts before, during, and after a sleepover shift.
