We have updated how shift penalties are calculated when a shift borders both sides of a sleepover schedule.
This change has been made in light of the recent Fair Work Commission Decision to vary the terms of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award). In this Decision, the Fair Work Commission clarified that when a shift is rostered immediately before and immediately after a sleepover period, the two periods of work are to be treated separately for the purposes of calculating shift penalties.
For example, the shift before the sleepover period is now calculating at the afternoon shift penalty and the shift after the sleepover period is now calculating at the day shift penalty:

Please note that the sleepover schedule automation is not currently configured in the SCHADS Award Managed Templates in Tanda.
