Hi everyone, thank you all for commenting. We've added a setting to your Organisation's settings that will allow you to hide wages.
Wages are
NOT
hidden by default — so to hide wages, you'll just need to jump into your Tanda account and change it over. Hiding wages will take effect instantly. The setting can be found at https://my.tanda.co/settings#general

We should have the option to hide this due to privacy reasons.
Furthermore, since I've got Paid Breaks setup as an automatic allowance, the rostered cost hasn't accounted for this. Thus causing confusion.

Showing the Rostered Cost on the employee app is creating problems for us. The reason being is that we pay our employees a Flat Rate. What ever day or hour they work they are paid the same rate.
We use Tanda to ensure that we pay our employees more on the Flat Rate than the Award.
There must surely be a way that we can turn this option off.

Staff have requested that wage not shown on their app for privacy reasons.
Management have requested that wage cost not shown because there may be adjustments to wages and this has caused problems where staff have taken the 'wage cost' as final wages.

Inaccuracies with showing pays causes more problems than not showing it. Staff are aware of what their normal wage is based on a 38 hr week without overtime, shift allowances and any other allowances they may be entitled to.

Hey Queenie,
I work on the product team here at Tanda. There are some key reasons we aren’t currently planning on adding a setting that removes the ability for employees to see their wages:
- One of our core values here at Tanda is that transparency and trust within a business results in happier, more engaged, and more productive employees. We don't think that hiding wages to employees will help to build trust and transparency.
- We also believe showing staff their projected wage for the week is important to help them better plan their life before receiving their paycheck.
At this point, we don’t have plans on adding a setting that hides wage from the Tanda app, but we’re keen to continue monitoring this topic and are always open to discussion about this decision.
There are times where pay may be inaccurate — for example, some accounts do not push pay rates to payroll, only hours worked, resulting in completely wrong estimates — and we are looking into this particular issue further.
