Sort by Last Name is now available in the new Staff page design. This filter uses the 'Last Name' field on the employee profile, so you will need to ensure that employee have a Last Name entered on their profile to use this filter.
Over time, other product areas will incorporate this same filter.

Allow the ability to sort staff by surname rather than first name. Our accounting software displays employees by surname. With Tanda only displaying by first name, payday is not as efficient as it could be. Very time consuming exercise! This is a major irritant for both myself and our Chief Financial Officer.

Payroll works off surnames so it would be great to have a first name field and surname field so that you can sort staff by first or surname.

Is this ever going to be looked at Tanda? These requests are now 4 years old and now I'm having super contributions reject because their names don't align with the super fund. We are unable to differentiate their Surname, middle name and Christian names - often it's just one big long name. We need separated fields for them to enter their correct names in the correct fields. Can you please provide an update? Thanks.

Just reiterating the need for this simple export ability. It makes it very frustrating when trying to connect to something like Mailchimp for staff comms.

Further to this request, it would be better to have surname and christian names as separate fields. Sometimes it's difficult to tell christian, middle and surnames apart. Employees will put all names in the one field so you can't see if it's a surname with two names, a christian name with two names, or just their middle name. The onboarding request should also state that their full legal name must be entered as we often end up with only shortened versions of their name or nicknames. Thanks.

Totally agree, we have many employees with two surnames that aren't hyphenated so when pushed to payroll system it always manages to put the first part of the surname in the first name field.

Hey does anyone else get annoyed by the autofill text when searching for employees? Often we have to try a couple of times to get the right person as we get caught in the autotext loop. There are so many variations of name spellings so sometimes (for me anyway) it gets annoying.
