Tanda’s General Manager permission profile provides elevated administrative permissions, but it does not grant automatic access to all teams or locations within the organisation or allow us to assign segmented access. In order to view employees, rosters, reporting, or workforce data for specific teams, General Managers must still be explicitly assigned as a manager of those teams.
As a result, organisations must assign General Managers as managers across multiple teams purely to enable visibility. This does not reflect actual reporting lines, increases administrative overhead, and creates unintended workflow and notification exposure for areas they do not directly manage.
We would like the ability to provide General Managers with configurable visibility across selected departments, locations, or business units without requiring them to be assigned as managers of those teams, while still maintaining full managerial responsibility over their direct reports.
This would allow General Managers to continue managing their own teams (including timesheets, rosters, approvals, performance management, and notifications) while also having reporting and editing oversight across assigned areas of the business.
This enhancement would better align Tanda’s permission model with real organisational structures and improve scalability for businesses with layered management hierarchies.
