We're shipping the tweaks mentioned just below today. Hopefully you won't even notice the change (in a good way). But if you do come across anything confusing please let us know by contacting our support team.

Hey everyone, here's what we're thinking for this one.
We're tweaking the logic around timesheets so that:
- if you collapse a shift
- and it wasn't rostered
- and it has no times or breaks or allowances
Then it will show up as collapsed when you reload the timesheet. It won't be totally gone (so you still have an audit trail of it) but it won't show up expanded by default.
The main concern we have with this approach is if you are reviewing timesheets quickly and you accidentally clear the times on a shift instead of approved, and the shift wasn't scheduled, the it won't show up anymore. Meaning the person may not get paid for those hours. Currently the empty shift will stand out when doing approvals, now it'll be a bit more hidden. We aren't sure how big a concern this is (or should be).
What does everyone else think?
ps. thanks to Rod Schneider for starring in this demo!

we are also having issues with the break button. staff hit clock out instead of break, which also splits their shift onto a second line. could the staff have an undo button on the clock in app so they can change. this is a massive issue for us
& staff are constantly doing it.

This is still an issue for us as well. It definitely slows down the payroll process. You can collapse however if you have to come back to that employee it comes back too. I would love it to be dealt with and then gone.

Still an issue for us...it also happens when Managers are training their staff how to clock in and out. You try and delete it and collapse but its like a boomerang, it keeps coming back.

Hi Jess
We simply don't need the duplicate line. If there was an option to discard it, that would be great. Then the information as to why it is there (staff clocked out after approval) is still there, but the unapproved timesheet won't be burning a hole in our eyes as unnecessary viewing ;)

Hi Tanda users
Thanks for voting on this item. It's a very old Canny request and the product has developed significantly in the 2 years since it was first posted.
Is this still an issue you face?
If so, I would appreciate if you could take the time to explain why and what you are trying to achieve. You can either post here or email me directly at jess@tanda.co
This will ensure we solve the problem in the best way possible
Thanks,
Jess

Hi All,
One thing that can cause multiple timesheet lines is when staff clock more than one break throughout there shift. When this happens right now, it will split out the times across multiple lines rather than keeping it neatly in 1 shift line.
The great news is we are releasing multi-breaks support very soon.
Here is a quick overview of how that will work. I'd love to hear any feedback you might have. I believe this will go a long way to solving this issue.
Please have a read and let me know any feedback you might have. My email address is renee@tanda.co

Renee: Oh my – I think we (our company) will find this VERY confusing. Eeek!
I think what we have now is fine, just the ability to keep a duplicated line hidden once deleted or collapsed. At the moment when you do this it reappears each time you go back into it.

Jackie Baldock: Hey Jackie, thanks for getting back to me. I just sent you a quick email to speak over the phone as I think that might be an easier way to understand your feedback :)
