Hey all, this is now complete! Staff will get an email when they have no shifts. This will come up as an option when you publish your roster.

Publish Deleted Shifts

I suggest there should be an option to publish any adjustments to a published roster. I.e. deleting shifts as well as adding shifts. Employees should be notified via email. Also, when most management look on the desktop if someone accidentally deletes a shift or presses backspace on a highlighted shift it it goes unnoticed. Therefore all changes should be republished. To sign them as true and correct.
We have had staff turn up to deleted shifts, and staff not turn up to accidentally deleted shifts.
Both could have been prevented.

I 100% agree. We delete shifts all the time, however if the staff member has no other shifts for that week, even if we publish the whole roster they do not get an update to say they have no rostered shifts.

No shifts notification when publishing the roster

I am having an issue currently where I haven't scheduled an employee to work for the week as they are casual. However when I publish the roster it doesn't notify them that they have no shifts. Therefor I get heaps of my casual staff asking me if they have any shifts for the week which is just double handling.
This also goes for when they text their code to receive the roster by SMS. If they have no shifts scheduled they just don't get a reply.
Ideally a notification saying the roster has been published and you are not rostered for any shifts, would be the best idea.

I would LOVE THIS! Definitely needs to be added. Would be great for staff piece of mind to know if the roster is late, or if they actually have no shifts.

This is a good idea as I have the same issue. We get so caught up in every other operational issue that sometimes we don’t get the time to let staff that are not rostered for the week know this. If this feature was added it would allow staff to organise things personally too rather than waiting in limbo for a potential roster that does not arrive
