This is a feature we used on Deputy a lot, the ability to write notes on peoples shifts like, Sarah is keen to work if you are looking for someone, big push in abc venue at 7.30, please do xyz for prep for tomorrow. Or when there is a vacant shift happy with different hours say the shift is 11-5 and you can write happy with someone working 12-4 claim and let me know. I so see this is noted below and a link to an article but the article no longer is live and I can't find how to do it anywhere. The feature of comments doesn't have the same effect. Thanks

Harrison Porter Linking Notes / Breaks / Details
This feature is amazing. Thank you making it happen!
To improve it, would it be possible to link this another shift widget on the same shift. For example you may want to post a note or share a doc to 2 or more people on same shift, by linking notes with people on same shifts means you dont have to repeat xn. The same for details/times etc as long as they are the same start or finish, time changes can be changed in one and affects the other. Break may be ideal too, although it may be that depending on the shift is set up, breaks may be staggered (if used), but have that option to link breaks or not.
Also can there also be an note pad icon on the shift widget to show which ones have notes as currently one cannot tell which shifts have notes/files etc
This would same time a lot.

Please add a feature allowing a notes section for individual published shifts. Ex: First shift for a new hire allowing a space for me to write first day instructions or let them know exactly where and who they can expect to train with, or for a shift that is out of the ordinary I could write "Late Night Party", and any notes they would need to know for that shift.

This has been the biggest complaint from my team, as they are used to having notes on a shift. It would be nice to be able to map checklist tasks to particular staff.

Please please can we have notes. It was a life saver when we used Deputy and enabled notes for the Manager for that shift (and other crew). But also we used it prior to publishing if multiple people were doing the roster or say someone moved a person around a note to explain why.
It may sound simple and something chat can do BUT it really doesn't work with chat as the note sticks with that shift, so even if the managers swap shifts the note remains.

We use a few freelance resources, the comment feature on shift is very helpful.
Display the comments / field when mouse hovered over the shift. Currently one has to click on it to see the comment on the left.
Secondly, when copying a shift to another time slot, the comment/s do not get copied.

I would love to be able to add a simple note to shift, without having to set up jobs categories etc, Eg "Hey John, don't forget to help the kitchen tonight they have a function" or "Sandra don't forget to lock the rear door tronight"

It would be great to be able to add specific shift notes to individuals rostered shift. Orbe able to create a "To Do List" that is specific to a staff member but not relative to others in the team or department.

Need to have the option to add comments / notes to a shift that will display next to the staffs name on day sheet for managers eg, RGO, needs to be signed off, move to cafe if busy

We need to be able to simply add shift notes to individual shifts viewable by the person on the shift. This is vital to operations and quite honestly shocking it doesn't exist already. If you need to see it in action check out deputy, they know how it's done.
