I have good news - we have now released Shift Acceptance in the Tanda mobile app. You'll need to turn on shift acceptance under Settings > Feature Management. Then, when managers go to publish rosters, they have the option of requiring staff to accept or decline their shifts.
Staff will be able to accept/decline shifts via the Tanda app, or via email + desktop. Our help article has more information on how shift acceptance works in Tanda: http://help.tanda.co/en/articles/3054115-feature-management-shift-acceptance
I have added a new Canny request to cover the other half of this request - that managers can just see which staff have just viewed the roster. We are currently working on a shift acceptance feature. The way it will work is this: You create a roster and when you are publishing the roster you can select 'require shift acceptance from staff'. If you tick this, all shifts you publish at that time will require staff acceptance. In the roster email that staff receive they will see a warning letting them know that they must accept their shift (pictured below).
They can then go through and accept / decline.
They will receive follow up emails prompting them to complete shift acceptance until they complete it. Once they do managers will receive a confirmation email letting them know if staff have accepted / declined shifts.
We are starting the Beta program for this feature shortly. This is an opportunity to get early access and provide us with feedback which will help shape how this feature works.

We have been discussing options for our staff to be able to “accept” a roster that has been issued to confirm that they are able to do the shifts given to them. Is there any way of looking at feature in Tanda that would enable them to reply yes or accept when the roster has been sent out, that would send me an alert or a reply that says they have agreed to this roster
We would prefer an electronic record of this as opposed to having a signed piece of paper.

Tanda Idea for future upgrades. Each week I transmit staff rosters. Currently staff acknowledge roster via return text. It would be good if future upgrades includes which staff have confirmed their roster and which have not confirmed their roster for the respective week roster. If we have the ability to transmit Tanda roster to staff mobile phones then we should also have the ability to receive replies regarding staff availability to attend said roster

Completely agree, we need this ! Managers need to be able to see that their staff are confirmed for shifts, need to make them accountable, this would help out our business in a huge way, not sure why you don't already have this in place, it would be a massive advantage to have this in place, thank you
