In our organisation, employee onboarding is sent by HR. This works well administratively, but means location managers have no visibility of when a new starter has actually been invited. Managers need to know that a contract has gone out so they can follow up with the employee, plan rostering, and organise induction - but Tanda gives them no signal that anything has been sent out. The only way for a manager to find out is to ask HR directly, which adds a very manual step on both ends that can easily be avoided.
Requested enhancement
Notify the relevant manager when an oboarding invitation is sent to an employee. Can be through selecting a position, a specific name, or based on our reporting lines in the organisational chart. Either of the following would solve the problem for us:
  1. A notification to the assigned manager - triggered when the invitation is sent. Ideally this would extend to the other key onboarding steps - employee has submitted details, contract signed, onboard completed - so managers can see the stage each new starter is at.
  2. A CC field on the final step of the onboarding invitation - the screen where we write the personalised message. This allows HR to loop the manager in as part of the existing work flow.
