Leave requests (unavailability) for casual staff

Currently casual staff need to submit their 'leave requests' as availability. It would be great if they have the functionality to submit leave requests for monitoring and reporting purposes even though it is unpaid. This functionality would help with terminology used in policy and procedures, keeping wording consistent across cohorts

You can definitely do this, and many customers do this for similar reasons. You will just need to set up the leave type so that casual employees can apply for it. There are help guides for it, that differ depending on whether you are payroll subscriber or not.
