we have varying roster hours. it would be nice when leave is requested for multiple days it allocated the hours per the roster hours and not split evenly across the days
@Jess Golding: if these leave hours are going to be populated from the rostered shifts, please make sure that the actual shift Times are still viewable. We need to see these in order to pay the correct loadings. Also please include to functionality of split shifts and night duty as part of this improvement. Currently we need to process extra leave requests to accomodate night duty staff (process as 2245-2359 then 0000-0715) so if they have consecutive days off as night duty addition requests are required. No way that the staff member can actually input this on the request. Same goes for split shift leave. Thanks.
@Myriam Freer: Hi Myriam, thanks very much for this information. I can confirm that we will show the shift times and be able to handle split shifts and overnight shifts.
The way this will work is employees will request the days off they want (e.g. Monday-Friday). In general settings you will decide how to fill the data for the leave request (e.g. first look at the roster, if a roster doesn't exist for this time period look at Regular Hours of Work), Tanda will automatically input the data, then the manager will check and approve.
Would you be interested in beta testing this feature when it's ready?
@Jess Golding: Hi Jess, yes I would be interested in testing - thank you. Can I also query - why Monday-Friday? Our staff also work and take leave on weekends. The other issue for us is that the Regular Hours of Work is not feasible as our Regular Hours are on a fortnightly basis so week 1 and week 2 are generally different. This is another point I have already raised as an improved and I guess is now more important with the new leave function.
@Myriam Freer: Hi Myriam, thanks I will reach out when we have something to test
Monday-Friday was just an example :) If your staff work weekends the functionality will cover this
Yes allowing fortnightly Regular Hours of Work is on our radar for upcoming work - we agree, with this leave functionality coming out it's becoming even more important
Leave hours as per regular hours as set in the employees profile would suit better for some or as per roster could work too. We have different working hours for Salaried vs Full Time vs Part Time
Rather than having a standard amount of hours for leave, can the leave requested match the rostered hours?
At the moment we have to change the leave hours from the standard 7.6 hours for each staff member
agree, this would be a great feature. Will check out regular working hours project in the mean time
This is a wonderful suggestion. We have people on 8 hours, 7.6 hours and 7.5 hours depending on award and package. This would save an huge amount of time especially with the public holiday at Christmas time.
Yea, I too would like to see it automated, so when staff apply for leave, sick or other on a particular day, it corrosponds with the rostered hours automatically.
We would love this option too, in fact, it would be great to set salaried staff working hours in their card so it defaults because some of our staff work hours 8 hr days and others only 7.6 depending on their location.
Hi, I would like this feature too. Also I would like it if staff members got a warning or error when they planned Leave for more than their Agreed\Preferred weekly hours.
@Jess Golding: Any chance this can get bumped up the improvements list? This is seriously painful having to manually change each staffs rostered hrs when approving their leave. Thanks
@Nic Ewers: Hi Nic, apologies for the delay in getting this one done. The good news is I can't bump it any further up the list; it's next up :-)
The team is finishing off a project on helping manage part time staff, then will begin this work. We are expecting it to be complete by the end of Q1. Mind if I reach out to you for Beta testing when the time comes?
@Jess Golding: Hi Jess - Thankyou for your reply . Yes happy anytime to Beta test
@Nic Ewers: Thanks Nic, I will email you
@Jess Golding: Hi Jess, Can I/VMORE sign up for Beta testing for this feature also please? Thanks, Amanda
We have the same issue. We also have people who take annual leave on weekends as we work 7 days. The solution currently does not work for us and creates a lot of issues. When leave carries across multiple pay periods we have issues with under and over payments if we don't split the leave into multiple entries.
