Hi TANDA Team,
I would like to suggest a potential enhancement that could provide significant value to large organisations (not just us) using TANDA.
It would be beneficial if TANDA supported a formal one-to-one relationship between an employee and their direct manager within the employee record structure. Maintaining this relationship would enable organisations to build and maintain an accurate organisational hierarchy directly within TANDA, rather than relying on external systems or custom reporting.
Currently, the Position-to-Manager relationship does not always provide an accurate reporting structure, particularly in organisations where multiple employees share the same position title. In these scenarios, it can be difficult to reliably determine an employee's direct manager, which limits the ability to create and maintain an accurate organisational chart.
A dedicated employee-to-manager relationship would remove this ambiguity and provide a clear reporting structure regardless of job title or position setup.
In addition, having a defined manager relationship would create opportunities for improved integrations with other business applications. For example, organisational structure and reporting lines could be interfaced to platforms such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Active Directory, HRIS solutions (SAP for example), and other systems that utilise manager/employee relationships for approvals, workflows, communications, contact cards, and organisational charts.
This enhancement could improve workforce visibility, support organisational reporting, streamline integrations, and provide a more connected employee management experience. It would also allow TANDA to become a more reliable source of truth for organisational hierarchy data.
