Current Issue
When a Team Member who has an auto populated timesheet applies for backdated part-day leave in Tanda, they must select “full day”, select “permanently delete shift”, then manually override the hours of leave. Alternatively the team member is tasked with manually updating their hours to reflect the portion of the shift they worked to allow for the second portion to be assigned to leave. This causes significant delays for end of pay period sign off, impacting user experience and potentially pay accuracy.
Proposed Solution:
  • The TM navigates to Leave → Apply Leave.
  • Select Part Day Leave.
  • Enter the start and finish times
  • Tanda displays the amount of leave being requested (in hours) accounting for unpaid breaks
  • The TM reviews the pre-populated leave hours and confirms they are correct.
  • If the leave request overlaps with an auto-populated timesheet, the system displays the following warning:
"This leave request overlaps with your timesheet. Are you sure you want to override your working hours to leave hours?"
  • The TM selects Yes to confirm and submits the leave request.
Important:
The override option should only be available when the leave request conflicts with an auto-populated timesheet. It must not be available where there are actual clocked times, as these represent recorded attendance and should not be overwritten by a leave application.
