Adding a message to the time clock e.g. "congrats on your promotion"

It would be pretty cool if I could add a message to the screen for a specific staff member, that will appear when they clock in. For example, one of my guys has just been promoted, I would love to be able to have "Congrats on the Promotion Tom" pop up when he clocks in next.

I would use this feature. Apart from reminders about what till happen in the day, I would sometimes put in inspirational quotes to get the day starting!

Hey everyone,
I would like to offer a solution that may work for some of the use cases listed here. For any use cases where you would like to show a message to everyone when they start/finish, e.g. a message staff need to acknowledge before they sign on.
We have a newer feature called shift questions which can support a workflow like this. you can configure it from 'general settings' > 'shift questions' (https://my.tanda.co/settings#time_clock).
With the feature you will be able to show a message with corresponding answers on the time clock when a staff member clocks in/out and have it add their response as a comment on their shift.
Sadly this feature is not currently able to target a specific user e.g. the congratulations on promotion use case. Hoping we are able to support for that in the near future. I am a personal fan! 🙌

I think this is a great idea too. Good way to push out important information as staff clock in for the day (e.g. dont forget the practice meeting today at 3pm; VIPs coming in at 1pm to view practice, please keep things tidy; etc).

Yes this is another feature that would differentiate itself against it competitors. Messages as they sign on or messages that they have to acknowledge before they can sign on would be so beneficial to business.

I like the idea of messages to staff too - even just general comments about the week's activities etc to keep all staff informed of what's going on
