Updates to the Vehicle Allowance in the SCHADS and Aged Care Managed Templates
The Fair Work Commission handed down a Decision on 26 August 2026 to temporarily increase the Vehicle Allowance in the Social, Community and Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHADS Award) and Aged Care Award 2010 under the Vehicle allowances – applications to vary multiple awards case.
The new Vehicle Allowance rate is effective from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 September 2026 and will remain in effect until 28 February 2027.
The SCHADS and Aged Care Managed Templates have been updated to align with the new vehicle allowance rate.

Please note that as this is a temporary increase, the Vehicle Allowances will be reviewed again in the Aged Care and SCHADS Managed Templates prior to the end date.
