Updates to the Restaurant Industry Award Managed Template
We have made improvements to the Restaurant Industry Award Managed Template, which are now available to be enabled in your account.
You will have until
Thursday, 18 June 2026
to opt-in to the changes.The improvements will be live in your account from Friday, 19 June 2026 if you have not yet opted in.
To voluntarily enable these changes, please see the steps outlined here.
The updates include:
- Automation of overtime when part time employees work outside their availability (clauses 10.4 & 10.7(a));
- Further automation of part time and casual minimum engagements during overtime periods (clause 10.7(b) & 11.3);
- Further automation of the full time ordinary hours minimum engagement (clause 15.1(a));
- Further automation of overtime for working more than 10 ordinary hours on 8 days in a 4 week cycle (clause 15.1(d));
- Addition of the Meal Break Facilitation Agreement (clause 16.4); and
- Further automation of the split shift allowance (clause 21.3).
