Updates to the Children’s Services Managed Template

We have made updates to the Children’s Services Award Managed Template.
The Children's Services Award was recently varied by the Fair Work Commission (FWC) under the Gender-based undervaluation priority award review case.
The Fair Work Commission issued a Determination on Thursday, 28 May 2026, varying the original Determination from Wednesday, 10 December 2025.
As a result of this variation, the Broken Shift
 and First Aid Allowance
 rates have been updated in the Children's Services Award.
The variation is effective from the first full pay period starting on or after 28 May 2026.
In addition, the FWO amended the Adult Apprentice
 rates in the Pay Guide for the Children’s Services Award from 1 March 2026
.
The updated Pay Guide was published on Friday, 29 May 2026.
The Children’s Services Award Managed Template has been updated to reflect the new allowance rates corrected by the FWC and the new adult apprentice hourly rates stipulated in the Pay Guide.
The above updates are now live in your account.
Please note that the variation to the Broken Shift Allowance and the First Aid Allowance will not come into effect until the first pay period commencing on or after 28 May 2026
