You can now use Autopaid Salary Earnings in the UK to make salary templates ECS-driven (percentage-based) instead of relying on fixed hours/salary inputs.
What’s new?
You will now see 2 tables in a User's Payroll Details:
  1. One for Wage
  2. One for Allowances / additional earnings

You can now also set Ordinary Hours templates (e.g. salary) to use a percentage, so earnings are calculated from the employee’s ECS rather than a fixed set of hours/salary.
Going forward, any templates created automatically will be percentage-based by default.
Do I need to do anything?
Not usually.
If an employee has multiple templates and you want their salary to be ECS-driven (percentage-based), you can update them by:
  • Setting the old template(s) to 0 hours and 0 cost
  • Adding a percentage to the template you want to use going forward
