The Fair Work Commission (FWC) handed down a Decision on 1 June 2026 to vary the SCHADS Award under the Gender-based undervaluation - priority awards review case.
This decision set out a classification restructure and wage increases for home care employees to be phased in over two years.
The first phase of wage increases for home care employees will take effect from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 December 2026.
The SCHADS Home Care Managed Template has been updated to align with the new rates for home care employees. No action is required to receive this update.
