When reviewing a pending leave request, you can now see if the employee's time off would leave a gap in the roster, or if it can be covered by other staff.
This feature is releasing gradually, so you may not see it in your account yet.
You'll see a notification on the leave page to build your
Usual Roster
. This can be generated based on rosters for the last 4 weeks and is used to determine the impact of a leave request.

Once configured, you'll see a breakdown for each day under the leave request
Shifts
tab, including:
  • the shift the employee is rostered for or the team they usually work in
  • how many staff the team needs
  • who is rostered before and after approval
  • how many/which teammates are free to cover.
Each day will get one of the following results:
  • Covered:
the roster still meets headcount with the person away, and there’s spare cover
  • No spare cover:
the roster can be covered after approval, but with no extra staff
  • To fill:
the roster will be short after approval, but teammates are free to take the shift
  • Under:
there aren’t enough people to cover the day even with available teammates
