Rosters: Validations applying to back-to-back shifts ๐
For organisations that roster staff
back-to-back
shifts or use task-based
rostering, roster validations will now consider these shifts as one
when applying roster warnings. The validations now applicable to back-to-back shifts include:
- Earliest start time
- Latest finish time
- Maximum hours worked including breaks
- Maximum shift length
- Maximum shifts in a day
- Maximum days in a week
- Minimum gaps between shifts
- Minimum shift length
Note: For shifts to be considered 'back-to-back', the gap in time between the shifts must be less 60 minutes
โฑ๏ธCheck out the example below
:In this account, the
maximum shifts in a day
value is set to 1
. As the gap between the two shifts is more
than 60 minutes
, the 3pm to 5pm time is considered a second shift in the day. Changing the start time to 2pm means the gap is less than 60 minutes, and the shifts are considered one.
