NZ Tanda Payroll deductions now support bank details at both the deduction type level
and the individual employee level
, giving you more flexibility when managing payments such as IRD deductions or union fees.
How it works:
1. Setting up the deduction type
  • Navigate to Payroll → Settings → Deduction Types
  • Create or edit a deduction type
  • Enable "
    Use Individual Bank Details

  • Add IRD code if applicable
2. Adding to the employee profile
  • Go to the employee's payroll tab in their profile
  • Add the deduction template
  • For IRD deductions:
    Details auto-populate based on the employee's IRD number
  • For non-IRD deductions:
    Manually enter bank details per employee

This update also adds support for
IRD Payment Codes on deduction types
, which flow through to each employee's deduction template and are included in bank files. This removes the need to create separate deduction types for individual employees to handle IRD-specific data.
