Long Service Leave (calculated) Updates
We've recently made the following two improvements to the Long Service Leave (calculated) feature in Tanda:
1.
Automated Termination Payments for New South Wales and South Australia:
When paying out an employee's LSL upon termination for NSW and SA, the available and prorated
balances are now calculated and paid automatically. This calculation looks at the employee's Cessation Code, as well as the employment start date and other information in the Long Service Leave tab in their profile, to determine if the prorated balance should be paid out based on state legislation.
2.
Auto-populate the Long Service Leave tab in employee profiles:
To make the process of setting up Long Service Leave (calculated)
faster and easier, you can now automatically populate certain LSL-related fields. If you already use
LSL (calculated)
, find this button under Payroll
> Payroll Settings
> Leave Types
:
Otherwise, this process will be done when adding
LSL (calculated)
to your account for the first time by clicking 'New: Try out Improved Long Service Leave
' in the same spot.Doing so will fill out two of the fields in the employee's Long Service Leave tab using information gathered from the employee profile:
- The employee's statewill be filled using the location set in their Default Team.
- The 'Yes - Always Full Time'/'No - part-time or casual hours varied' status will be selected based on the employee's historic Pay Conditions.
This calculates and creates a
LSL (calculated)
balance for all employees. You can read more about the Long Service Leave feature Here.
