We’ve updating how break rules work in Tanda, giving you more control over which breaks apply at each shift length.
Previously, breaks accumulated as a shift got longer (i.e., stacking). Now, a shift gets
only the breaks listed for the longest shift length it reaches
. This makes it possible to configure things like “at 4 hours an employee gets a 20-minute rest break, but at 6 hours they get a 30-minute meal break instead.”

No existing breaks will change as a result of this update.
Existing break rule sets are automatically converted so they behave exactly as before.
You can learn more about the new functionality in this help guide.
