Automatic wage increases for the Fair Work Commission Work Value Cases
The Fair Work Commission's Work Value Case - Aged Care Industry and the Work Value Case - Nurses and Midwives looks at improving pay and job classifications for aged care workers to better reflect the nature of work performed in the sector.
On 11 September 2024, a Decision was handed down by the Fair Work Commission (FWC) to make changes to several awards.
For the Work Value Case -Aged Care Industry, the first phase of wage increases came into effect from 1 January 2025.
For Work Value Case - Nurses and Midwives the first phase of increases came into effect from 1 March 2025.
The second phase of wage increases for the Work Value Cases will take effect from the first full pay period
commencing on or after 1 October 2025
. These wage increases will automatically be facilitated in the relevant Tanda Managed Award Templates.
The impacted Managed Award Templates are:
- The Aged Care Award
- Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award (SCHADS Award)
- The Nurses Award
