Tanda has added a ‘back pay’ feature for Tanda Payroll users.
The feature enables Tanda users to unlock and make edits to already paid timesheets in Tanda, then automatically generate a payslip with reversing entries and the updated correct timesheet details, reducing the time it takes to process back payments.
How it works
To back pay an employee using the feature, navigate to a previous timesheet, then
- Unlock the timesheet
- Make the required corrections to the timesheet
- Click the ‘Backpay Timesheet’ button
- A payslip will be automatically generated on the next in-cycle pay run that contains negative lines reversing the previous payment, along with the correct lines for the back payment
Initially, the back pay feature has been released only for timesheets that don't contain leave.
Due to the limitations of external payroll integrations, the back pay feature is only available for organisations processing payroll with Tanda Payroll.
