Add leave blackouts to busy days

Hi everyone, we are looking into building some improvements around custom events. One of the main ones is importing events automatically.
We will be able to automatically create many types of custom events based on your location, including sporting events, festivals, observances (eg. St Patricks Day), expos, and school holiday dates.
We are looking for people interested in trying this feature out early, and giving feedback on the quality of the events we import as well as if we miss anything obvious.
If you're interested please comment here or email me - alex@tanda.co

Hey all I've got great news. You can now add custom events to days on your roster and flag them as blackouts to discourage staff from applying for leave or time off on those event days.
Here is a post explaining how it works and how you can start adding events.

Hi everyone good news, we have a number of things planned to make managing staff leave requests and unavailability much easier.
We will be adding blackouts - you will be able to add your own custom events and flag them as blackout days so staff know not to apply for leave or unavailability on those days.
We will also be adding the ability for you to approve / decline unavailability entries from staff.

Blocking periods of holiday

It would be useful for team managers to be able to block out certainly dates/times on the leave calendar. This would mean that staff couldn't book holiday during certain busy times without it being overridden by a manager. Further more, to refine this, having staff titles included, means that; for instance only 1 supervisor per department could book leave at any one time.

This would be a great feature as staff would be able to view instantly that leave wasn't available at that time and saves the need for a supervisor to reject the applications.
