Add custom events to days on the roster

Hi everyone, we are looking into building some improvements around custom events. One of the main ones is importing events automatically.
We will be able to automatically create many types of custom events based on your location, including sporting events, festivals, observances (eg. St Patricks Day), expos, and school holiday dates.
We are looking for people interested in trying this feature out early, and giving feedback on the quality of the events we import as well as if we miss anything obvious.

It would be useful to be able to input special events into the calendar. These events would be used for large functions, high volume events etc.
The benefits of this would be:
- ability to see when more staff are required before approving leave
- communication of upcoming events
Specific features would include:
- start and finish time of event
- staffing requirements broken down into teams
- reminder text, alert and email of upcoming events. Feature allowing management to select reminder time frame e.g 2 weeks before event

Hi Zak, you can currently add events for locations. If you go into a location and open the "Advanced Settings", you can set specific holiday dates for that location.
Unfortunately, you can't name these at this point. They also don't show in the app, but this is coming soon.
Is there anything else you'd want this feature to do that I might have missed?

Liam: Hi Liam, I have tried to use this feature but it seems to only be for public holidays as it pays different rates. It would be great to have something similar for other events. Public events and campaigns really affects the amount of staff members needed and managers can sometimes forget of these special days/campaigns. Even if we could put notes on a day that would do the job, but we need a way to remind managers of the events when making the roster.
