We've just improved how the
Projected Balance
is calculated and displayed within Tanda.
You'll now see a table showing the Current Balance, Projected Balance, and Already-approved leave.
image
  1. Current Balance:
    This displays the
    payroll balance
of this leave type for the employee. This is typically the balance as of their last payslip.
  2. Projected Balance:
This calculates how much leave would be accrued between the end of the last pay cycle and before the pay cycle containing the start of the leave request. This uses
    Contracted Weekly Hours
(or Regular Hours if CWH not set) in the employee profile and
    the accrual rate
set in the leave type. It is also reduced by any
    approved leave requests
that occur before the start of this request.
  3. Already-Approved Leave:
This shows any approved leave requests
    after
the start of this request. This is shown to help determine if there will be enough leave balance left over to cover those future requests.
This change improves visibility surrounding leave balances when requesting leave, and also calculates the projected balance more accurately.
